Buckles Acquires Jennings Insurance and Investment Services

Buckles, Wales’ largest Independent Financial Adviser has acquired the business Jennings Insurance and Investment Services based in Nercwys, near Mold, North Wales, for an undisclosed cash sum. The principals in the business, Owen and Gwyneth Jennings, are retiring and leaving the industry.
The acquisition will strengthen Buckles’ presence in North Wales and the North West of England and will increase the total number of active clients to over 18,000.
Nigel Speirs, Buckles’ Chief Executive, said:
“This acquisition marks the continuation of our strategy of buying the businesses of retiring IFAs. We will look at compatible and locally based firms whose principals are seeking retirement or are thinking of leaving the industry.
“Our graduate training programme is producing a stream of highly qualified advisers, who will look after the newly acquired client base of some 300 private individuals.”
